THE HEAT IS STILL ON IN ALICE.......

We have now had nearly 3 weeks of over 40' heat. It surely changes the way one lives.Luckily the hospital, and my house have very efficient air conditioning.Alice was heading for an all time record,(since 1946), of 12 days continuously over 40'. We got to the 11th day-39' and the following 5 days over 40' !!!!! Murphy's law??
I am still enjoying chasing these beautiful grasshoppers with my camera. Is this fellow not quite handsome??
I enjoyed watching this little gecko on the outside of a window screen - they are extremely timid, and extremely fast.

I don't usually "do" abstracts but these with reflections and light play I quite enjoyed. I took my camera "swimming" one evening. The late afternoon light intensified the colours.

(No camera was harmed in the obtaining of these images!!)

This is my terrace with the pool..the sails are necessities shielding the living room in the morning.

I am finally enjoying being able to get online here at home..lot of teething problems but with the help from some nice computer guys in one of the shops here, I have succeeded. So there will be no more excuses for not doing a post. It is so much easier not having to load everything on to memory stick and take to the department. Its all good.

I am working this weekend, and then I am heading to Sydney to catch up with a friend for the week. It will be nice to have some normal weather.

Take care all of you.....

Hi Karen,

Great looking blog! Good to see the pool is sparkling (Fran will be impressed!) ;). I posted some of my Hermannsburg photos on Flickr. Have a look and let me know what you think!
